Where have all the colors gone?

I must admit, November is not my favorite among the months of the year…

I live in a part of the world called Norway with my wife and two daughters. I worked as a telecom engineer for 20 years. Nowadays I am attending a helpdesk supporting colleagues with computer problems. I am also a hobby photographer who believe we ought to pay more attention to how we treat our planet and each other. I trust the reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and I am disappointed that leading politicians in my own and other countries more or less have been ignoring warnings from the scientists for 20 years.

    1. Thank you for commenting, Donna! I love winter, but right now it’s not quite cold enough, and the snow (which came yesterday) is wet and sticky. That is typical of late October and early November here. It is also more difficult to be a hobby photographer, as the days are very short, and the nature is not as colorful and full of life as it is in spring/summer/autumn. (I guess i have to see that as a challenge… :-))

  1. Well, I live on the West coast, and we have had torrential rain and wind for weeks. The result: roads “disappear”, rails also, so no trains, houses are taken by the flooding rivers, villages isolated and we are waiting for a mountanside (130 000 m3) to come tumbling down……
So, Jan, I am born and raised here, but right now I would swop with you in a heart beat…. 🙂

    1. I understand that, Jan, and when I think of it, I know there are probably millions of people on this planet who would like to swap with me. So I have absolutely no reason to complain. Still, privileged as I am, I like the other 11 months better… 🙂
