The spring is here, and many birds are looking for a new home. I try to help them a little by putting up some accomodation. I had larger birds in mind for this house, but the nuthatch could hardly wait till I had taken my ladder away before he moved in. Here he’s admiring the view from his new house. I call him Zorro because of his black mask, of course.
I love baking bread. Working with the dough, sensing the beautiful smell from the oven filling the house, patiently waiting, and then the reward. Home-baked bread, still warm inside, with blackcurrant jam. Mmmm.
Thank you, Mr. Squirrel. You add joy to my day. I hope the sunflower seeds taste okay.
The little Nisse is waving goodbye to 2016 and wishing 2017 welcome.
He wishes every single person on earth a happy new year filled with love and compassion.
I felt like sharing a picture showing the old church in the small town where I was born. This picture is from 2007. The church is now gone, it was completely destroyed by a fire in january 2010.
Mmmm… making my favourite snack! Take a bowl of nuts and let them be coated with maple syrup. Add a little salt. Spread the nuts on a tray and roast them in the oven. Yum yum..
