Stuck in the snow

Coming home from work yesterday, our car got stuck in the snow about 150 meters from our house. It took me about half an hour with the snow blower until I could get it loose and all the way into the garage. Then another hour to clear the way properly. This morning it was still snowing, so I had another round with the snow blower before going to work. Today I am so grateful to my snow blower, I have to post a picture of it (taken in november, there’s a lot more snow here now).

Flowers from the roadside (1)

At this time of year, there are lots of beautiful flowers to be found along the road up to our house. I had a little walk with my camera today, and I’d like to share with you some of the beauties I found.

Zorro just moved in

The spring is here, and many birds are looking for a new home. I try to help them a little by putting up some accomodation. I had larger birds in mind for this house, but the nuthatch could hardly wait till I had taken my ladder away before he moved in. Here he’s admiring the view from his new house. I call him Zorro because of his black mask, of course.
